Patrick Hess Settles Water Damage Case in California
Mr. Hess recovered $410,000 in November 2010 from an environmental remediation contractor for water damages to a commercial building resulting from the opening of an abandoned water line during a remediation project.

Mr. Phillips and Mr. Hess spoke to members of the Southeastern Warehouse Association at its annual convention in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 17, 2010. They spoke on legal issues affecting warehouses including warehouse liens and demurrage charges.

Patrick Hess settles grocery store fire case in Ohio
Mr. Hess recovered $650,000 in September 2010 from a grocery wholesaler for damages resulting from a fire that started on the wholesaler's truck during a delivery and spread to the grocery store.

Patrick Hess settles propane explosion case in Colorado
Mr. Hess recovered $825,000 in July 2010 from a propane supplier and other defendants for damages resulting from a propane explosion at a cattle ranch in northern Colorado.

Patrick Hess settles flood damage claim at Palatine school
Mr. Hess recovered $525,000 in September 2010 for flood damages at an elementary school in Palatine.

Rob Lentz settles FARGO flooding claim
Rob Lentz recovered $111,000 on a $117,000 claim from the local municipality on a flooding claim arising out of the Red River Flooding of 2009.

Rob Lentz settles Commonwealth Edison transformer explosion claim
Rob Lentz recovered $165,000 from local electrical utility for damages caused by a transformer explosion.

All three attorneys, who were Partners at their last firm, Fisher Kanaris, bring significant experience and accomplishments in a variety of litigation and corporate fields. Nielsen, Zehe & Antas, P.C. welcomes Kevin, Marc and Rob to the firm.

Mr. Phillips brings extensive experience in the areas of warehouse legal liability defense, cargo/transportation, professional liability, construction and subrogation matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School. He is a member of The International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA), International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC) and serves as General Counsel for the IWLA.

Mr. Katalinic's brings to the firm years of litigation and subrogation experience. He earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School and is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Mr. Katalinic has lectured for clients and trade organizations on such topics as Loss Scene Investigation, Selection and Retention of Experts, Spoliation of Evidence, Subrogation on Products Liability Theories, Subrogation on Contribution Claims and Subrogation on Workers Compensation Claims.

Mr. Lentz brings to the firm significant experience in subrogation matters including areas of fire causation and fire spread, product design and malfunction, construction losses, transportation and warehouse losses, and worker's compensation subrogation matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School and is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.

Jeff Zehe and Brian Cunningham win trademark trial against national retailer
Jeff and Brian successfully defended a local area businessman against national auto parts retailer and mega-chain AUTOZONE alleging trademark infringement. After a bench trial, Judge Darrah of the Northern District of Illinois ruled in favor of our client, Michael Strick, finding no likelihood of confusion between the parties' marks and that the affirmative defense of laches also precluded AUTOZONE's claims.
