Jack Murphy concentrates his practice in civil litigation in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, employment law, professional liability and commercial litigation. His practice is diverse and comprises not only the defense of personal injury cases such as catastrophic personal injury and birth injury cases but also the defense of corporate entities and employers in actions and several class actions involving business torts, breach of contract, employment discrimination, collective bargaining and covenants not to compete.

Jack has defended private and municipal entities in more than 100 employment discrimination and civil rights matters dealing with a wide range of statutes and common law torts, often achieving success on summary judgment. He represents clients in state and federal courts, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in investigations, mediations and arbitrations. Jack has extensive experience managing administrative agency investigations, including systemic initiative, pattern-and-practice, and disparate impact claims involving unequal pay, hiring and pre-employment screening practices, and reasonable accommodation processes.

Jack defends professionals, including physicians, accountants, attorneys, insurance brokers, contractors and architects. He represents hospitals, manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, construction companies, collection agencies and medical device manufacturers in courts across the country. Jack also represents domestic and international clients, including clients located in France, Canada and China.
