Mr. Lentz's practice includes extensive trial work and focuses on representing insurance companies in large loss subrogation, worker's compensation subrogation and liability defense. All of these practice areas center on his extensive knowledge of tort based law. He has tried numerous cases to successful jury verdict; his jury experience involves both plaintiff's cases and defense cases. He takes pride in being accessible to his clients so that they can count on him to solve their time sensitive problems.

Mr. Lentz has significant experience in the areas of fire and explosion causation, fire spread, fire suppression systems and the like; product design and defects including guarding, interlocks and warnings; construction losses including third-party practice, indemnification and tender issues; transportation and warehouse losses; and worker's compensation recovery laws and procedures. He has extensive knowledge in complex industrial processing losses including the associated process controls and interlocks, fire suppression systems, dust collection systems, explosion relief and building design that usually play a role in these types of losses.

In addition to the property subrogation and defense matters mentioned above, he handles worker's compensation subrogation matters throughout the United States. While the tort liability aspects are common to his entire practice, his workers compensation practice also includes the lien recovery issues specific to worker's compensation subrogation.

Mr. Lentz has conducted thousands of loss investigations, many of which have commenced within hours of the loss, for property subrogation, liability defense and workers compensation matters. The coordination of these investigations include site visitation, the selection, retention and supervision of qualified experts, the identification and notification of third-party wrongdoers and the preservation of evidence, all of which are crucial to the successful prosecution of a subrogation action or the defense of a liability claim.

Mr. Lentz resides in a suburb of Chicago with his wife and four children. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the District Courts of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, and has been admitted pro hac vice throughout the country on behalf of his clients.
